I've also soloed plenty of times in California, mostly for weekend trips but occasionally I am suppose to go on a month long backpacking trip in alaska next summer with nols, but i am starting to worry that its just going to feel like going to a summer camp but for adults is this true or does it kind of resemble that?? i am doing the 18-22 trip and will be 21 at the time of the trip. Thanks! I'm looking into doing a solo backpacking trip in Alaska later this summer (assuming that the pandemic doesn't keep me from doing that). done a considerable amount of hiking but not to extensive, just single day hikes. I recently took a month long mountaineering course with NOLS Patagonia (with very little mountaineering experience coming into it).
